To See The End

I packed my bag with empty frames
And a pint of vodka.
The frames were for memories
The drink for my devochka.
We took the road down south
The road that leads to perdition.
I lit a cigar as the music echoed
With Denver's dulcet rendition.
We took a break to see the sun
When she drank away the bottle.
And there we were on the road again
With my bare foot on the paddle.
She clutched my shoulders gently
And closed her eyes to pray
It was till this moment I realized
My life's been a Groundhog day.
I wiped off her kohled eyes
Which were filled with tears
We have come a long way
Crossing all frontiers.
'We are happy to leave everything behind.
''The world forgetting, by the world forgot."
Let us keep faith in God,
So that everything is not lost.'
The life that lays ahead of us
Is too hard to comprehend.
"My life is worth the living
I don't need to see the end."

To See The End - II

I packed my bag with empty frames
And a pint of vodka.
The frames were for memories
The drink for my devochka.
We took the road down south
The road that leads to perdition.
I lit a cigar as the music echoed
With Denver's dulcet rendition.
We took a break to see the sun
When she drank away the bottle.
And there we were on the road again
With my bare foot on the paddle.
She clutched my shoulders gently
And closed her eyes to pray
It was till this moment I realized
My life's been a Groundhog day.
I wiped off her kohled eyes
Which were filled with tears
We have come a long way
Crossing all frontiers/(The end is very near).
She looked at me, held my hand
And asked me to stop the car.
With pensive look in her eyes
Said, 'I've come too far.'
I didn't ask for a reason
Never asked 'Why?'
I guess, I didn't want
A whole lot of reason to cry.
I've left the past behind my back
No time for petty affection.
'Tomorrow, if you can,
Please show me right direction.'
The life that lays ahead is
Too hard to comprehend.
"My life is worth the living
I don't need to see the end."

SLOTH

"Sloth you are"
Said the Priest.
''You are sinful''.

Numb I sat
Staring bleak
'I thought that shits cool!!'

"Work is life"
He said,
"You should know"

Wait a minute!
I wondered,
No one's told me so.

"You should pay"
He demanded,
"With ambition and diligence.”

OK Boss!
I said,
"Let's just talk sense."

"Father!"
He prayed,
"What the hell is wrong with this chap?"

"Is it just me
Or some
Ungodly mishap?"

The Lord
Didn't answer,
But I did.

I told him
A story
Of when I was a kid.

He carefully
Listened,
As I spoke with frailty.

And hugged me
In the end,
Saying,"You're not guilty!"

It left me baffled;
Is this
My redemption?

"No!"
Someone shouted,
"It's more of a half drunk situation."

Redemption

There were thoughts
Falling into right places
There were pictures
Taken at the right moment
There was darkness
Enlightening the fluorescent
There was peace
Above all the rest.

They were thoughts
for our future.
They were pictures
Of us together.
It was you,
Lit from the inside.
And I
was overwhelmed with pride.
